About Ancylis divisana (Walker, 1863)
Ancylis divisana, commonly known as the two-toned ancylis moth, is a species of moth belonging to the family Tortricidae. This moth is native to North America, and has been specifically recorded in the US states of Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia, as well as the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec. The wingspan of adult Ancylis divisana ranges from 10 to 13 millimeters. Adult moths have been observed in flight from March through October each year. The larvae of this species feed on plants from the genus Carpinus, Castanea dentata, species from the genera Quercus and Platanus, including the species Platanus occidentalis.
