Anavitrinella pampinaria, commonly known as the common gray, is a moth species that belongs to the family Geometridae. It was first formally described by Achille Guenée in 1857. This moth can be found across most of North America, excluding the Arctic regions, and its range extends south into Mexico. It has a wingspan that measures between 23 and 34 mm. Adult moths are active and in flight from April through October each year. The larvae of this species feed on plants from the genera Malus, Fraxinus, Trifolium, Pyrus, Populus, and Salix.
