Anabasis articulata (Forssk.) Moq. is a species of plant in the genus Anabasis. It is a salt-tolerant xerophyte found in the Syrian Desert. Bedouin communities often use the ashes of this plant as a soap substitute. The species is also recorded to have medicinal properties: in Algerian traditional medicine, practitioners prepare an anti-diabetic decoction from the plant's leaves.
