About Amyna natalis (Walker, 1859)

Amyna natalis (Walker, 1859) has a 20 mm wingspan in males and a 26 mm wingspan in females. Its body is dull brown. The forewings bear indistinct, single, waved sub-basal, antemedial, postmedial and sub-marginal lines that have a small number of grey scales. The reniform marking is present as a small spot. The hindwings and abdomen are fuscous. The abdomen has an indistinct postmedial line. In terms of ecology, larvae of Amyna natalis are green loopers, and they have been recorded feeding on Abutilon incanum, Sida cordifolia, Sida fallax, Sida rhombifolia and Waltheria americana.
