About Amyema cambagei (Blakely) Danser

Amyema cambagei (Blakely) Danser is a mistletoe that grows in a spreading to pendulous form, with grey, hairy stems. Its leaves are terete, typically measuring 6–15 cm in length and 1–1.5 mm in width. The plant’s flowers are 15–21 mm long, pink in color and covered in white hairs. Flowering occurs from winter through to early summer, which falls between June and December. The fruits are globular, pink to red, and 5–6 mm in diameter. In its ecology, A. cambagei grows on species of the genera Casuarina and Allocasuarina, and mimics the leaves of its host plant.
