Granby designated a neotype in 1985 assuming no original material for Amphithalea ericifolia existed, but two confirmed sheets in Herb. Burman (G) are original material, and Schrire designated one as lectotype.

About Amphithalea ericifolia (L.) Eckl. & Zeyh.

Neotype Designation History

Note: In 1985, Granby (in Opera Bot. 80: 28) designated a neotype, presumably because he thought there was no original material for the name.

Relevant Original Material

However, two sheets in Herb. Burman (G), both confirmed as to their identity by Granby, are considered relevant original material.

Lectotype Designation

Schrire has designated one of these sheets as the lectotype.
