Amphipyra livida (Denis & Schiffermüller), 1775 is a moth species that belongs to the Noctuidae family. It is native to central and southern Europe, with occasional stray individuals recorded from regions further north. It also occurs across a range extending from Anatolia through to Korea, China, and Japan. This moth has a wingspan of 39 to 45 mm. Adult Amphipyra livida are most commonly active from August to October each year. The larvae of this species feed on a variety of low-growing plants, including species from the Taraxacum and Hieracium genera. Larvae can be found from April to July, and the species survives the winter overwintering in the egg stage.
