Amphiachyris dracunculoides, commonly known as broomweed, is a North American flowering plant species belonging to the Asteraceae family. It is native to the United States, found primarily across the southern Great Plains, ranging from Missouri to eastern New Mexico. This species is a tall annual herb that can occasionally grow up to 200 cm (7 feet) in height. Its leaves are linear, glabrous, and arranged alternately along stems. It produces yellow flower heads that contain both ray florets and disc florets. The involucre is structured from 2 to 3 series of imbricate phyllaries. It grows in calcareous areas and is tolerant of disturbed habitats.
