Amorphophallus commutatus (Schott) Engl., commonly called dragon stalk yam, is a plant species belonging to the family Araceae. It is known by the regional names shevale and mogari kanda in Marathi, and jungli suran in Hindi. The genus Amorphophallus is a large group of roughly 170 tropical and subtropical tuberous herbaceous plants, which includes the species that produces the world's largest flower, titan arum.
