Ammoconia senex Geyer is a moth species that belongs to the family Noctuidae. This species occurs in the European portion of the Mediterranean Region, with one separate isolated population located near the Middle Rhine. It can also be found in Turkey, the Caucasus, Iraq, and Iran. The wingspan of adult Ammoconia senex Geyer measures 36 to 46 mm. Adults of this species are active in flight from September through to October or November. The larvae of this moth feed on a range of different low-growing plants, including the genera Plantago and Taraxacum.
