Amegilla pulchra (Smith, 1854) has a body length ranging from 12 to 14 mm, and a forewing length of 8 to 9 mm. This species has ivory-colored markings on its face, and bands of pale blue or white fur on its tergites. In terms of distribution and habitat, Amegilla pulchra is found in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, and Victoria in Australia, where it occurs mainly east of the Great Dividing Range. It is also thought to have been introduced to Fiji.
