Lutz's poison frog, scientifically named Ameerega flavopicta, was previously classified under the name Epipedobates flavopicta. It is a species of frog belonging to the poison dart frog family Dendrobatidae, and it is found in Bolivia and Brazil.

Natural Habitats

Its natural habitats include subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, moist savanna, subtropical or tropical moist shrubland, rivers, intermittent freshwater marshes, and rocky areas.

Reproduction Site

This species reproduces in rocky pools and streams.

Reproductive Behavior

Females lay eggs on leaf litter, and adult frogs transport hatched tadpoles to wet trenches or small rocky pools.
