About Ambulyx dohertyi Rothschild, 1894

Ambulyx dohertyi, described by Rothschild in 1894, is similar in appearance to Ambulyx moorei and Ambulyx semifervens. However, it can be distinguished by its greenish olive stripe that crosses the tegula: this stripe is sharply defined, broader than in the related species, and extends onto the metanotum as a broad stripe. This species is found in the Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, and Queensland, Australia.
