About Amaropostia stiptica (Pers.) B.K.Cui, L.L.Shen & Y.C.Dai
Amaropostia stiptica produces perennial, sessile, bracket-shaped fruiting bodies that are hard and woody in texture. The upper surface of these fruiting bodies is usually greyish to brownish, and marked with concentric zones. The underside of the fruiting bodies has fine pores. The taste of Amaropostia stiptica is extraordinarily bitter, and is reported to be unbearable during sensory evaluations.
