About Alyxia ruscifolia R.Br.

Alyxia ruscifolia R.Br. usually grows to around 2 metres tall, and may sometimes grow larger. Its leaves grow in whorls, ranging from narrow lanceolate to broad lanceolate in shape, and measure 1 to 6 cm long. The leaves are thick, leathery, and glossy, with a pointed tip. They are usually not toothed, and their lateral veins are obvious. Leaf stems are between 1 and 4 mm long. Fragrant white flowers grow in terminal heads containing 3 to 5 flowers each, and form during spring and summer. Its fruit ranges from orange to red in colour, with a diameter of 8 to 11 mm.
