About Alyssum alyssoides (L.) L.

Alyssum alyssoides (L.) L. is a hairy annual or biennial herb. Its stems grow either upright or prostrate along the ground, reaching a maximum length of 30 to 40 centimeters. It produces yellow flowers between May and July; these flowers fade to white, and each has four small petals 1.5–3 mm long. The plant's hairs are branched, often in a stellate (star-shaped) arrangement. Its leaves are simple, alternately arranged, narrowly oblanceolate or linear, with smooth margins. The fruit is a round, hairy capsule that grows up to half a centimeter long. Its seeds are tiny, 1–2 mm long, and have very small wings.
