Alternanthera filifolia is a species of flowering plant that belongs to the Amaranthaceae family. It is native to the Galápagos Islands, and is found nowhere outside this archipelago. Within the Galápagos, it is a common species in lowland areas and coastal shrublands. This species displays morphological variation, and grows as a shrub reaching heights between 0.5 and 1.5 meters.
