About Allium obliquum L.

Allium obliquum, commonly called lop-sided onion or twisted-leaf onion, is a Eurasian wild onion species. Its native range stretches from Romania to Mongolia, and it is widely cultivated as an ornamental in other regions outside this native area. This species produces an egg-shaped bulb that grows up to 3 cm long. Its scape reaches up to 100 cm in height and is round in cross-section. The leaves are flat, shorter than the scape, and can grow up to 20 mm across. It produces spherical umbels filled with many crowded yellow flowers.
