About Allium mongolicum Regel
Allium mongolicum Regel is an Asian wild onion species. It is native to Mongolia, Inner Mongolia, Tuva, Kazakhstan, and the Chinese regions of Gansu, Liaoning, Ningxia, Qinghai, Shaanxi, and Xinjiang. This plant grows in clumps of thin bulbs. Its scapes can reach up to 30 centimeters in height, and a single plant will sometimes grow more than one scape. The leaves are hollow and tubular, and they are shorter than the scapes. Its umbels are densely packed with numerous red or purple-red flowers.
