About Albuca viscosa L.f.

Albuca viscosa L.f. is a small geophyte that grows from an oval bulb, which is sometimes faintly pink in color. The bulb's outer tunics are wrinkled and become dry near the top of the bulb. This species produces subterete leaves that most often curve into spirals toward their tips. Both the leaves and the flower peduncle are covered in glandular hairs, giving them a sticky, viscous texture. The flowers of Albuca viscosa are drooping, and its petals are yellow with distinct green stripes running down their centers.
