About Aichryson villosum (Aiton) Webb & Berthel.

Aichryson villosum (Aiton) Webb & Berthel. is a species of herbaceous flowering plant that belongs to the Crassulaceae family. It is endemic to the Madeira Archipelago. This species was first formally described by Sabin Berthelot and Philip Barker-Webb in 1840, with the description published in the Natural History of the Canary Islands. Aichryson santamariensis, which is endemic to Santa Maria Island in the Azores, was previously classified as part of Aichryson villosum, but has been recognized as a separate distinct species since November 2015.
