About Agrochola haematidea Duponchel, 1827

Technical description and variation for Agrochola haematidea Duponchel, 1827 (A. haematidea Dup., 37 d): The forewing is smooth and colored deep chestnut brown, darker along the inner margin and paler in the terminal area. The cell and median shade are a deeper chestnut. The lines are indistinct; the outer line is double. The submarginal line is preceded by a row of small black marks, and by a blackish blotch on the costa. The stigmata are small, undefined, and pale. The orbicular stigma is oblique and nearly touches the bottom of the reniform stigma. The hindwing is fuscous, and the fringe is pinkish. The apex of the forewing is acute, and the termen is oblique. The wingspan ranges from 32 to 38 mm.
