Ageratina aromatica (L.) Spach, commonly called lesser snakeroot or small-leaved white snakeroot, is a North American plant species belonging to the family Asteraceae. It is widespread and common across most of the eastern and southern United States, ranging from Louisiana to Massachusetts, and extending inland as far as Kentucky and Ohio. This perennial species grows in early successional gap habitats within woodlands, habitats that are formed by fires or fallen trees. It is often found growing near rocky outcroppings.
