About Agave sobria Brandegee
Agave sobria, commonly called the Gulf agave, is a species in the plant genus Agave. It forms concave-shaped rosettes that hold stocky gray leaves with burgeons. This species is endemic to Mexico, where it grows mainly in dry regions. Its rosettes reach between 1 and 1.8 meters (3 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 11 inches) in width. Agave sobria was first formally described in 1889.
