About Agave potatorum Zucc.

Agave potatorum Zucc. grows as a basal rosette, holding between 30 and 80 flat, spatulate leaves. Each leaf reaches up to 1 foot in length. Leaf edges are fringed with short, sharp, dark spines, and each leaf ends in a terminal spine up to 1.6 inches long. The leaves are pale, silvery white. Their leaf flesh is green, and this color fades to lilac or pink at the leaf tips. When fully developed, the flower spike grows 10 to 20 feet long, and bears pale green and yellow flowers.
