About Agave gracilipes Trel.

Agave gracilipes, with the common names Maguey de pastizal and slimfoot century plant, is a plant species in the Agave genus. It is native to western Texas, southern New Mexico, and Chihuahua. It grows in grasslands, desert scrub, and open pinyon-juniper woodlands, at elevations ranging from 1,200 m to 1,900 m (or 3,900 to 6,200 ft). This species is smaller than many other Agave species. Its leaves grow up to 30 cm (12 in) long and 7 cm (2.8 in) wide. Its flowering stalks can reach up to 5 m (16 ft) in height, and bear yellowish flowers.
