Agapanthus inapertus Beauverd is a herbaceous perennial plant that grows up to 1.5 m (4.9 ft) tall. It produces umbels of deep blue-shaded flowers in late summer, and its individual flowers stay barely open. It is a popular garden plant. The cultivar Agapanthus inapertus subsp. hollandii 'Sky' has an attractive drooping growth habit, and has been awarded the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
