About Agapanthia suturalis (Fabricius, 1787)
Agapanthia suturalis is a species of beetle that belongs to the subfamily Lamiinae. Its distribution includes Sicily, Spain, the Near East, North Africa, and Turkey. Individuals of this species are black with a yellow stripe. Males of Agapanthia suturalis are larger than females. The adult beetles fly from May to June. This species is known to bore into the stems of Knautia arvensis.
