About Afrosciadium magalismontanum (Sond.) P.J.D.Winter
Afrosciadium magalismontanum (Sond.) P.J.D.Winter is a species belonging to the carrot plant family, Apiaceae. This is a perennial tuberous herb, and it is native to subtropical areas of eastern South Africa, including the Free State, KwaZulu-Natal, and Northern Provinces regions, as well as Eswatini. It grows a tall, narrow stem that splits into multiple evenly spaced branches close to its top. Each branch ends in a cluster of small yellow flowers. Before the genus Afrosciadium was established in 2008, this species was classified under the synonym Peucedanum magalismontanum.
