Aethriamanta rezia is a dragonfly species that belongs to the family Libellulidae. William Forsell Kirby first described this species in 1889. It has been confirmed to occur in Angola, Botswana, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. Its possible presence has also been reported in Burundi. Its natural habitats include subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, moist savanna, dry savanna, subtropical or tropical moist shrubland, subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, rivers, marshes, and other types of wetlands.
