About Aethes sexdentata Sabourin & Miller, 2002
Aethes sexdentata is a species of moth in the family Tortricidae. It is native to North America, with confirmed records from the following locations: Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. This species occupies two main habitat types: deciduous forest openings and blueberry thickets. The forewings of Aethes sexdentata measure between 5.7 and 8.2 millimetres, which equals 0.22 to 0.32 inches, in length. Adult moths have been observed in flight from May through August, and the species likely produces only one generation per year. The larvae of Aethes sexdentata feed on plants from the Solidago genus.
