About Aeromachus plumbeola (Felder, 1867)

Aeromachus plumbeola (Felder, 1867) is a butterfly species belonging to the family Hesperiidae. It is distributed in the Philippines and southern India. This species is only half the size of Baracus vittatus, and is otherwise similar to Baracus vittatus in the appearance of its upper wing surfaces. On the forewing, the basal half is silvery grey (plumbeous) in males, while this silvery grey region covers only one third of the forewing in females. The under surface of the wings is dusty grey with a brownish tint, marked with small lighter longitudinal spots and rays. Populations have been recorded in the Philippines.
