About Aeromachus jhora (de Nicéville, 1885)

This species, Aeromachus jhora, was first described by de Nicéville in 1885. On its upperside, the wing color is dark brown. The cilia are whitish, marked with brown at the tips of the nervules. The forewing has a curved discal series of roughly six pale dots, while the hindwing has no markings. On the underside, the base color is dark brown; the costa and apex of the forewing, as well as the entire surface of the hindwing, are greenish-ochreous. The forewing retains the same discal series of spots seen on the upperside, plus an indistinct marginal series of lunular spots. The hindwing has a very irregular discal series of spots and an unclear marginal series of spots. The total wing expanse of this species ranges from 0.95 to 1.05 inches, which equals 24 to 27 mm.
