Adlumia fungosa (Aiton) Greene ex Britton, Stern & Poggenb. is a species in the plant family Papaveraceae, commonly known by the common names Allegheny vine, climbing fumitory, and mountain fringe. It is a herbaceous, creeping, flowering plant, and is closely related to the fumitory genus Fumaria. This plant is a biennial climbing vine with very slender stems. Its leaves are divided pinnately multiple times, are prehensile, and have a feathery texture. White or pinkish flowers grow in large clusters and bloom during the summer. This species grows on wet, wooded slopes, and is native to North America, specifically the Allegheny Mountains region. Throughout its range in northeastern North America, where it has not been fully extirpated, it is classified as a threatened or endangered species. This vine can reach up to twelve feet in length when growing on wooded and rocky slopes. Its species epithet fungosa is Latin for the word 'spongy'.
