About Adiantum silvaticum Tind.
Adiantum silvaticum is a small maidenhair fern native to eastern Australia. Its natural habitat includes open eucalyptus forest and rainforest. It is most often found on moist cliff faces and beside streams, and typically occurs in high rainfall areas. Its southernmost known distribution reaches Ulladulla in south-eastern New South Wales. This fern species grows best on poorer soils. The hairless bluish variant of this species can be mistaken for Adiantum cunninghamii.
