About Acrometopa macropoda (Burmeister, 1838)

Acrometopa macropoda is a species classified in the subfamily Phaneropterinae of the family Tettigoniidae. It occurs in southern Europe, ranging approximately from Trieste along both sides of the Adriatic coast in Italy and former Yugoslavia, and extending south to Greece and the Dinaric Mountains. This species favors dry grasslands and wastelands that contain scattered bushes or taller-growing plants like thistles. In terms of taxonomy, it may actually be a subspecies of Acrometopa servillea.
