Scientific name: Acmispon tomentosus (Hook. & Arn.) Govaerts. This species can be identified by its small, oval, hairy, succulent leaves. Its flower buds are burgundy red, while its open flowers are yellow. Its flower head closely resembles a small version of the flower head of Lotus pedunculatus. Under certain growing conditions, this species grows as an annual plant.
