About Acmaeoderella flavofasciata (Piller & Mitterpacher, 1783)
Acmaeoderella flavofasciata (Piller & Mitterpacher, 1783) is a species of jewel beetle in the subfamily Polycestinae, family Buprestidae. This beetle can be found across most of Europe, the eastern Palearctic realm, and North Africa. Adult individuals reach between 6.5 and 11.0 millimetres (0.26 to 0.43 inches) in length. The head and pronotum of this species are both wrinkled and covered in hairs. The main host plants used by this beetle's larvae are species from the genera Acer, Castanea, Fagus, Juniperus, Populus, Prunus, Pyrus, Quercus and Ulmus.
