Acleros mackenii, commonly known as Macken's skipper or Macken's dart, is a butterfly species belonging to the family Hesperiidae. This butterfly is found across Western, Eastern, and Southern Africa. Males have a wingspan of 27–32 mm, while females have a slightly larger wingspan ranging from 29–33 mm. Adult Acleros mackenii are active year-round, though they are more common in late summer, autumn, and winter than during hotter midsummer months. The larvae of this species feed on plants from Rhus species, including Rhus corarius, and Acridocarpus species, including Acridocarpus smeathmanni.
