About Acleris oxycoccana (Packard, 1869)

Acleris oxycoccana, first described by Packard in 1869, is a species of moth belonging to the family Tortricidae. This species is native to North America, and confirmed records of it come from the locations of Alberta, British Columbia, Indiana, Maine, Manitoba, Michigan, Minnesota, Newfoundland, Ontario, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. The wingspan of adult Acleris oxycoccana ranges from 13 to 15 mm. Adult moths of this species have been observed in flight throughout almost the entire year. The larvae of Acleris oxycoccana feed on two plant species: Chamaedaphne calyculata and Prunus pumila.
