About Acer pictum Thunb.

Acer pictum, commonly called yellow-paint maple, is an Asian maple species. It is widespread across much of China, and also grows in Korea, Japan, Mongolia, and eastern Russia. Its native natural habitat is temperate forests. This species is a deciduous tree that can reach up to 20 meters in height, with gray bark. Its leaves are simple (non-compound) and thin, growing up to 12 cm wide and 12 cm across, with no teeth along the edges, and can have 3, 5, 7, or 9 lobes.
