Acer heldreichii Orph. is a species of maple in the flowering plant family Sapindaceae. This species is commonly known as Balkan maple, Greek maple, Heldreich's maple, or mountain maple. It is native to the Balkan Peninsula, and its range extends east along the southern and eastern coasts of the Black Sea. It is a tree that can grow up to 20 m (65.6 ft) tall, and has smooth bark. Its leaves measure 5–14 cm (2.0–5.5 in) long, and are deeply cut into three to five lobes; these leaves turn yellow to golden brown in the fall.
