About Abutilon parvulum A.Gray

Abutilon parvulum A.Gray is a species of flowering plant in the mallow family. It is commonly known as dwarf Indian mallow and dwarf abutilon, and is native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. This plant is a perennial herb that grows from a woody root, and produces a multibranched stem that reaches a maximum height of around 40 centimetres (16 inches). Its leaves are oval or heart-shaped, and measure 1 to 4 centimetres (0.39 to 1.57 inches) wide. The stem and foliage are thinly covered in woolly hairs. Its solitary flowers bear light orange to red rounded petals that are just a few millimeters long. The fruit is a fuzzy structure nearly a centimeter long, divided into five segments.
