Abutilon hulseanum (Torr. & A.Gray) Torr. ex A.Gray is a short-lived perennial shrub that reaches a maximum height of 7 ft (2.1 m). It produces large, noticeable orange-pink flowers that bloom from late winter through early spring. This species is native to New Mexico, Texas, Florida, most of Mexico, Honduras, Cuba, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, the Leeward Islands, and the Windward Islands. In some regions, it grows as an invasive weed, and it adapts easily to disturbed habitats including old orange groves.
