About Abrotanella linearis Berggr.

Abrotanella linearis Berggr. is a species of flowering plant in the daisy family, Asteraceae. It is endemic to New Zealand, native to the South Island and Stewart Island of the country. Swedish botanist Sven Berggren first described this species in 1878. Plants of this species are small, with linear leaves and white florets. On the South Island, Abrotanella linearis is common in montane forests and subalpine grasslands growing 700 to 1400 m above sea level. On Stewart Island, it occurs at elevations from 250 to 670 m above sea level. It flowers between September and February each year.
