The iNature app is designed to work completely offline. All AI identification runs on your device — we do not send your photos to any server for analysis.
App (iOS)
We collect minimal data:
- Purchase history (handled by Apple's App Store infrastructure)
- Anonymous crash reports (if you opt in via iOS settings)
- No photos, identification history, or location data is collected or transmitted
Website
When you visit inature.app, we may collect:
- Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) via Cloudflare
- Anonymous analytics via Cloudflare Web Analytics (no cookies, no cross-site tracking)
How We Use Your Information
We use collected information solely to:
- Operate and improve the app and website
- Diagnose technical issues
- Understand general usage patterns
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
The app and website use the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store — handles purchases and payments
- Cloudflare — CDN, hosting, and privacy-friendly analytics
Data Retention
Server logs are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes. No personal identification history is stored on our servers.

iNature is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
